Ayodhya: Ahead of Deepotsav, the construction of the Ayodhya Chowpatty project—developed on the lines of Mumbai’s famous Juhu Beach—has been completed. Built at a cost of ₹4.65 crore, the project aims to enhance the experience of pilgrims visiting the Ram Temple from across the country and abroad.

Anuraj Jain, Vice Chairman of the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA), the agency executing the project, stated that the Chowpatty has been developed in the area between the Saryu River and Ram Ki Paidi. It features lush greenery, seating platforms, benches, and murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana era.

Visitors can spend peaceful moments amidst soft background music and bhajans, enjoy boat rides in the Saryu River, and take a safe dip at Ram Ki Paidi. The area has been beautified to ensure comprehensive amenities for tourists. Along with authentic local Ayodhya cuisine, attractive food carts are set up to offer local street food. Furthermore, the complex includes parking facilities, around 80 shops for essential shopping, and newly opened restaurants.

Preparation Underway for Two Major Projects

Jain added that architectural designs for two new major projects are ready and will be sent to the government for DPR (Detailed Project Report) approval. Construction will commence once the DPR receives official clearance.
₹45-Crore Theme Park at Jamthara: A lush green theme park will be developed along the banks of the Saryu River in the Jamthara area at an estimated cost of ₹45 crore. Designed as a picnic spot, it will feature Ramayana-era flora, attractive seating, and enhanced tourist amenities while showcasing themes from the epic.

₹27-Crore Digital Gallery Dedicated to Goddess Sita: A digital gallery showcasing various aspects of Goddess Sita’s life will be set up inside the Vashistha Bhavan complex at an estimated cost of ₹27 crore. Situated close to the Ram Temple, the gallery will allow visiting devotees to conveniently explore and experience the legacy of Goddess Sita.
